Dave Myers and Si King visited Bute during The Hairy Bikers Go West, a BBC Two series celebrating local food and the people behind it. Macqueens was among the island businesses they met along the way.

Their visit shone a light on Bute's independent food businesses and the produce that makes the island special. For the Macqueens team, welcoming the Hairy Bikers into the shop was a chance to share the craft and character behind our butcher's counter.

We remember that visit especially warmly following the sad passing of Dave Myers in 2024.
